It was an emotional adieu for everyone as it was the last innings of Ricky Ponting as he had said that he would be going to retire from international cricket after the South African Series. Perth test was his final innings in the international outing for his country. In his final innings, he was ushered in by a guard of South African players as he strode to the crease for the last time. It was his 168th test match & his last test. He scored 8 runs in his last innings. It was really a emotional moments for all the cricketers present there....
